So, the word for wind is gaoth.
The phrase Ta gaoth orm literally means "Wind is on me".
Would this be a way of saying "I farted"??

Wouldn't that need to be something like, "The wind has left me?"
"The wind is on me," sounds more like something said by the victim.

In teannglann.ie, for gaoth, meaning 1(d) does have this:

(This is going off-topic, but since the topic was farts the loss isn't monumental.)

teannglann.ie already has five reference books including an En->Ga dictionary from 1959, why not just add a sixth tab for the focloir.ie dictionary?

Currently I have to search teannglann.ie, then focloir.ie, and then maybe tearma.ie... what's next, fax my local representative?

(That said, putting these dictionaries online is one of the best things that promoters of the Irish language have done. It's something I'm really grateful for. I'm just suggesting how it could still be improved.)

(And a Firefox plugin to highlight a word and search for it in teannglann.ie too.)

Personally I'd use "tá gaoth orm" when I feel bloated with wind, while it's inside, whether it comes out as fart or burp or not. I know that's a bad explanation LOL.
