Howdy,
words like éirigh, eireaball, and deimhin have changed (and changes can be dialect dependent, such as the effect of/on medial slender 'v' in Muster), such what are the best examples of the farthest changes?

I don't mean changes like 'teampeall' as 'típeall', or 'ann' as 'ánn' (regular changes), or the addition of 'f' to vowel initial words, but ones less obvious, and less predicable from the spelling.

I think it's the pronouns that change the most, I never know the correct spelling

And something I never thought of before until I was asked a few weeks ago is why is the beginning of "éirigh" and "Éireannach" pronounced differently. Éirigh - is pronounced in Conamara with an EYE sound not É.

I don't know why that is. While vowel shifting is a normal process in Germanic languages, I've never read much about it elsewhere (and can't see too much).

If anyone knows more, please tell
