I don't see anything wrong with Labhrás's offering, but here is a different approach to his translation that I think may be more poetic.

Ní chun foscadh a iarraidh ón mbáisteach, ach chun foghlaim damhsa fúithi atá an saol ann.

Céard é bhur mbarúil ar an gceann sin?

I don't know the grammatical reason, but the end doesn't sound right to me "...atá an saol ann". It should be "...atá ann sa saol" to be more correct I think.

No, it’s the life that is there: Is é an saol atá ann. Agus chun ... atá an saol ann.

I believe, as Labhrás said, that that would be a very different meaning and not quite what was being gone for.
