Hi everyone. I'm trying to translate my family motto into Irish. The motto is "Vulneratus non Victus", or "Wounded, not Conquered". I found a thread on another forum in which it was translated as "Gonta ní Cloíte", but I've also found other words that mean the same thing. For example, in addition to gonta, I found gortaithe. In addition to cloíte, I found buailte, díomuach, briste, and treascartha. Google translate (I know, not totally reliable) is completely different, with "lucht créachtaithe, ní fosta".
Are any of these words more appropriate than the others? Are they completely interchangeable? Is there a different translation altogether?
Thanks so much for any help!
