Is the word - an traithriseóir - the same as - aithriseoir ?

There should be a hyphen between the "t" and the "a." "An t-airthriseoir": "The reciter/mimic."

FGB doesn't have a match for the word with a fada on the "o"

Go raibh maith agat - it's the title of a story, but it was printed in the 19th century, so the spelling and use of fadas aren't quite the same as you'd find today. That's why I wasn't sure whether it was the same word or not.

I couldn't remember where I'd found it, but in fact it's in Internet Archive (the authors are Tadhg Ó Donnchadha and Pádraic Pearse) - and I have added an 'r' where I shouldn't have. In the title, there's definitely a fada on the 'o'. The title has been translated as - The Narrator.

There's another book by Tadhg Ó Donnchadha that's also on the Internet Archive called An t-áilleán - it's a children's book and it's beautifully illustrated by Seóirse Ua Fágáin. This is typically the kind of book for children in Irish that I would like to see more of published today. But I can't find this word in Teanglann - there's - áilleánach - which means : a dressed-up useless person, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the meaning of the title of this book.
