I'm looking for a translation for a text for a piece of music, if anyone could help me out that would be lethal!

The poem in English:
We must go into the black night.
We must endure the cold wind -
And hold a hope that the clouds will clear,
And hold a hope that people will heal.

My novice attempt as gaeilge:
Ní mór dúinn dul isteach ar an oíche dubh.
ní mór dúinn go mairfidh an ghaoth fhuar.
agus a bhfuil creideamh go mbeidh an scamaill soiléir.
agus a bhfuil creideamh gur féidir le daoine a leigheas.

Can any more adept Gaeilgeoirí help me out here in forming an authentic, refined translation?

As it's for a song, it would be useful for us to have the tune.

The text is the starting point and then the Irish text will be set to music.

mair is "endure" as in "last a long time"

a bhfuil creideamh makes no sense and creideamh is "belief", rather than "hope".

Perhaps:

Ní mór dúinn dul isteach san oíche dhubh.
ní mór dúinn an ghaoth fhuar a fhulaingt.
agus bheith i ndóchas go scaipfidh na scamaill.
agus bheith i ndóchas go slánóidh na daoine.
