I wanted to let others know about this translation of L'Étranger (The Stranger/The Outsider) by Albert Camus. The translation was done by the late Diarmuid Ó Gráinne, from Aill an Phréacháin. It's in Conamara Irish, although I don't know enough to say whether it is a bit standardised or not (I don't enough about Conamara Irish or the Caighdeán to make that statement, apologies).

It reads very well, I liked it better than my two English translations (especially the confrontation with the priest at the end) although I don't know how accurate it is (don't know much about French either!). I could post some passages with the original French and Lughaidh or Franc 91 could tell us how good.
