"Bosca aráin" = "bread box." That's a classic first question in 20 questions: "Is it bigger than a bread box?" A bread box is usually large enough to hold one or two loaves of bread.

Aha! We call that a bread bin! Not sure as Gaeilge though.

Nil a fhios agam cén sórt freagra atá oiriúnach anseo. 'Ní fheictear' doesn't seem correct but it gives the wrong impression if I say 'Feictear'. B'fhéidir 'uaireanta'? I've just realised that I'm rubbish at this!

De Bhaldraithe has:

cófra aráin "bread bin"
ciseán aráin "bread basket"
