Radical. The authors of that book had a unique approach to spelling. I had never seen two cc's before in Irish. na gC ... would be the norm for genetive plural nowadays. The h's appear to be due to a lack of access to seanchló type, perhaps because the publisher is in London?

The authors have also totally ignored leathan le leathan agus caol le caol. That was one reason I gave up trying to put the quote into seanchló here, but I see you are quoting straight from the horse's mouth.

I still think it might look nicer as:

Bí gérleanṁuin dá déunaṁ oruinn, giḋeaḋ ní tréigṫear sinn; teilgṫear síos sinn, giḋeaḋ ní ṫéiġmid amúġa.

(Even if it _is_ anachronistic! )
