If it is a memorial, I think a description is more appropriate than a term of address, which would require the vocative. Do others agree?

Are all of these suitable, or is one predominantly used for funerals and memorials and others used for other contexts?

Yep, if you are just after "Beloved Father ~ Beloved Son", I think Athair Ionúin ~ Mac Ionúin would work as well as any of the others.

These forms assume you are talking about someone. They would also be used as the captions on a picture, etc.

If addressing someone as if calling out to them, etc., the vocative case would be required.

Would anyone else like to confirm Athair Ionúin ~ Mac Ionúin for Richard? - or offer other comments about its suitability, etc.?

Connemara-style pronunciation (other dialects may differ):

Athair Ionúin ~ Mac Ionúin
UH-hurh IN-ooñ MUCK IN-ooñ
/ahər´ iNu:n´ ma:k iNu:n´/

The slender r, which I have written as "rh" in the phonics, is lightly flapped like Scottish r but so light that it almost buzzes.

The final n sound in ionúin, being slender, is like Spanish ñ.

This may just be my Ulster-influence and American accent, but I'd pronounce "mac" more like "mock."

Actually, according to abair.ie, it's "muck" /mak/ in Ulster too, or at least in Gaoth Dobhair.

However, according to Dillon/Ó Cróinín, Munster appears to be "mock" /mɑk/.
