(Goibniu sounds like a woman’s name in Old Irish because of the iu ending and it might prob. be rel. to Modern Irish Gobnait. In this case: a súile = her eyes)

tarraingíonn ... - Such stage directions permit simple present tense, I'd suppose.
It is a kind of a historical present.
(if not: Tá Faolán ag tarraingt a chlaímh (siar). claímh - gen. of claíomh, the o is missing on purpose.)
The same applies to déanann above.
