I asked a few people for a translation for "never say never". I now know there is no real way to translate that, so it was suggested I use

"ná habair nach féidir" which I was told translates loosely to "never say that (something) isn't possible". Is this correct?

Also, is this the correct translation for "it takes time to build castles"? I have always loved that expression, but want to be sure it is correct!!

That seems like a perfectly good translation to me.

Incidentally, the dictionary gives the translation:

never say never:
Níor baineadh dada as an lá amárach fós
Ní bheadh a fhios agat go deo

And for a related saying it has:

never say die:
níor chaill fear an mhisnigh riamh é
níor cailleadh leath dá ndeachaigh i gcontúirt
beidh lá eile ag an bPaorach
beidh lá eile ag an gcailleach

That can also be interpreted in the "It takes a village" sense, as in "We have to work together if we want to erect a castle".
