Yes, I guess the gan eagla construction is more adverbial than adjectival, e.g., Rith sé isteach gan scáth gan eagla "He ran in boldly/fearlessly".

Ná bíodh eagla ort works fine. (And that's three in agreement. )

Not really.

saor ó ~ "free from ~" "safe from ~" can be used, e.g., saor ó imní "free from anxiety", but it sounds a bit like "legalese", or a calque from English.

In any case, the tense bheith is totally wrong. It should be bí.

But we have already arrived at a better translation above.

This is true. And I like the translation above. It's quick and easy, and for a tattoo, it's not so long that it will need a very large space.
