To call someone a liar to their face, would it be

"A bréagadóir!"

?

"A bhréagadóir" if you're addressing the person. But I've also heard people say "Bréagadóir!" without putting it in the vocative.

Would the English equivalent comparing the two be something like

"Liar!" vs. "You liar!" ?

I'd interpret them as:

A bhréagadóir ! "Liar!" or "You liar!"
Bréagadóir ! "(You are a) Liar!"

I would have thought that in Irish you wouldn't say simply - you're a liar, but just as Braoin has given an example here, I suggest it would be something like 'You never have a true word to say' or - 'you're not able of being truthful for one minute in your whole life' or - 'there's never a true word in you'. srl
