Irish people are friendlier than most in general that's my impression and I've lived n a few countries but it also goes to the other end of the scale with begrudgery as in we do it more than others. Living here and coming on holiday are to totally different experiences though in my experience, having holidayed here many times before I moved to Dublin. It's easy to have a nice cosy view of Ireland from abroad, as I had myself but when you live here it's like many other countries you have to deal with life! It isn't just a holiday or fuzzy warmth at learning Irish. I came with a brave notion of learning Irish and that Irish was great, I soon had that kicked out of me!

It wasn't kicked too far - you are still hanging around ILF!
