I'm needing a translation for:

I am a shape-shifter.

"Shape-shifter" is the hard part! I know we've done some translations for you, but I can't remember if we've done that one yet.

If so, it's as easy as "Is [shape-shifter] mé."

If we haven't come up with a term for that yet, that's where we need to start.

I went looking and found that I have ilchruthach for 'shape-shifter'

Does that work?

If so, then "Is ilchruthach mé" would be "I am a shapeshifter."

I was thinking there might be another possibility which pictures it better for me in Gaeilge:
athraitheoir múnla
...or if that is too 'wordy', perhaps
cruthathraitheoir

'ilchruthach' pictures in my mind 'of every type of shape' at the same time - like water, so perhaps 'athraitheoir' to bring across the idea of the ability to change...

So as Redwolf has put it:
Is athraitheoir múnla mé = I am a shape/mould shifter/changer
or
Is cruthathraitheoir mé = I am a shape/appearance shifter

...just a thought!

This would be one of the sídhe. A irish fairy (please dont think small cute girl with wings ) The irish version are a lot meanier and play tricks and terify people.

Is Púca mé = Im a púca.

In that case, it would be better to drop the capital:

Is púca mé. "I'm a púca."

My shape-shifters are just humans who turn into animals when they want. So, that's the kind of word I want. I thought of using púca once, but my shifters aren't anything fae (scary or not).
