Hi,

I know 'cuimhnigh (ar)' is the verb for 'remember' and 'ag cuimhneamh' is the verbal noun but I also know that you can say 'I remember' in a couple of ways but I would like to know where the examples below come from and what is the ones used in Munster and Conamara. And maybe one is from Ulster, I don't know.

Is cuimhneach liom é / Cuimhním air = I remember him
Is cuimhin liom = I remember (most used in all dialects?)
Tá cuimhne agam air sin = I remember that


*Am I right in thinking that 'cuimhneach', "cuimhne" and 'cuimhin' are nouns? If yes, is there a dialect difference?

*Where is the Munster expression if there is one?

If you know other expressions, let me know, I find it interesting to know what is most used etc.. and I'm especially interested in the Munster dialect but I like to know what is commonly used in Standard too.

In Ulster Irish I heard:

tá cuimhne agam

is cuimhneach liom

I've heard "tá cuimnhe agam" and "cuimhním ar" in Munster, but that's not to say the others don't exist in that dialect.

Also, "ní dhearnas dearúd" (I didn't forget) is very Munsterish. The Standard would be "ní dhearna mé dearmad."
