Well, as this is in the Gaeltacht, there will be people to practice with, yes. But I don't think you can say "tá mé nua in Éireann". I am "new" and I am "newly arrived" are two different meanings. It should be something like "táim go díreach tar éis teacht go hÉirinn". Éireann is the genitive, by the way. Éirinn is what is needed there. And as teanga is feminine: tá mé ag foghlaim na teanga(n).
