Hello! I am getting a tattoo next week and would like to have the phrase "Something Beautiful Remains" translated. For context, this is the last line of a poem that was read at my brother's funeral.

Maireann rud álainn
Something beautiful [survives/lives on]

If you're looking for a direct translation then I would second Caoimhín's second example:

Maireann rud álainn

However, if you want something more idiomatic then the following could be an option:

Maireann t'ailleacht id dhéidh (GM = Gaoluinn na Mumhan) 'your beauty continues/ remains/ live on after you'

Maireann d'ailleacht i do dhiaidh (CO = offical standard)

Traditional font is quite trendy also:

Maireann t'ailleaċt id ḋéiḋ

Maireann d'ailleaċt i do ḋiaḋ
