Hi I was given a translation on here for a tattoo in memory of my mum, I am getting it done tomorrow and I have just realised that it is slightly different from the one that an Irish friend sent me. I was looking to get the words OVER THE RAINBOW, which I think is Tharr an bogha ceatha but my friend says it is Thar an bogha baisti, I would be so grateful for any advice, thanks!
First and most important:
thar an mbogha ... (or:
thar an bhogha ... in Ulster)
thar (one r only)
And then there is
thar an mbogha ceatha thar an tuar ceathathar an mbogha báistí (accent in a and i!)
thar an tuar báistí (accent on a and i)
thar an mbogha síne (accent on i)
all meaning "over the rainbow". Take your choice.
