Hello! I am looking for a tattoo translation and I would greatly appreciate it if I could have some help. I have always loved the Irish language since I was little, but do not have the means of learning the language sadly. I really want to get a quote that is dear to me as a tattoo but I would like to have it in Irish. The quote is "In the end only kindness matters". Thank you for your time!

Here is one suggested translation, but do wait for others to comment (someone may be able to come up with something shorter):

Níl rud ar bith tábhachtach ach an cineáltas, faoi dheireadh. [enlarged to make the accents more visible]
Nothing is important but kindness, in the end.

Another version:

I ndeireadh na dála is cuma faoi gach ní eile ná an daonnacht.

'Daonnacht' would be more like compassion, humanity sort of kindness.

I like those translations. Like MacBoo, I would prefer "daonnacht", too.
And translating "matter" with the construction "is cuma . . ." is good form.

Something a little shorter and a different take on "in the end" with no change in meaning.

Faoi dheireadh, níl ach daonnacht. In the end, there is only kindness.
Faoi dheireadh, níl aon rud fágtha ach daonnacht. In the end, there is nothing left but kindness.

Since this is for a tattoo, you need to be patient and get more input and some agreement as to what is best for you.

Doesn't the first one need "ann" somewhere? "Níl ann ach daonnacht"?
