I think the best way to translate 'Forgive' is 'Tabhair maithiúnas' - literally 'give /grant forgiveness', but more natural-sounding in Irish.

That would create some nice alliteration:
Tarraing anáil
Tabhair maithiúnas
...

You might even extend the alliteration in the third clause with something like this:
Teigh ar aghaidh
"Go on forward"

Someone else may be able to think of a better third clause.

just a quick note that "Téigh" was meant here (a type o) instead of "Teigh"

I like the alliteration.
As an alternative third one, what about Tapaigh an deis ?
I think that might work well for 'live' -- it literally means 'seize the opportunity', basically like YOLO or carpe diem

Hi everyone. So I've spent the last 12 months debating the question you presented me when I asked for a translation of BREATHE FORGIVE LIVE. I would like to go with an English to Ogham translation.

I've run the words through online translators and written it out using the Ogham alphabet but wanted to make sure it looks right.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to include the images in this post.

I would like the the words to be vertical haven't fully decided if I want the words to be one line or 3 separate lines.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance,

Tara

Hi,

I read the entire post and wondered, if you still want an Irish translation, if nouns would work:

Breath, forgiveness, life.
anáil, maithiúnas, (as mentioned before, depending on your intention but "beatha" might work.)

When you say "ogham" are you referring to the futhark? See here: https://ogham.co/ or do you
mean the older Roman script that Irish was once written in?

We used to be able to post images on here. It would help to know what you have come up
with and what some people on here can offer.
