I'm not sure how to put this into Irish -

Go maire mé nó go n-éaga mé air

Go raibh mé beo nó go raibh mé marbh air

or just - mo bheo nó mo mharbh air

I'm not sure what you mean by "for it". Is it because of something you did, or doing it on behalf of something?

It's taken from the story 'The Giant's Stairs' When Robin Kelly makes his way in down through a dark underground passage and finally finds himself confronted by Mahon MacMahon himself, he has to explain why he had come there. He had come to claim the young Philip Ronayne, so Mahon MacMahon says to him: "Then you must single him out from among my pages......and if you fix on the wrong one your life is the forfeit. Follow me." Robin manages to choose one out of the many hundred's of them ........'he put his hand on the boy whom he fancied had spoken, crying out at the same time, "Let me live or die for it, but this is young Phil Ronayne." '

That's the context (I hope I haven't given anything away for anyone who doesn't know the story).

In that context I'd say:

Mairfaidh mé nó gheobhaidh mé bás mar gheall air/dá bharr .... (because of)

Wait for other opinions. It's not the only correct way of saying it.
