Hi my name is Jenny and I live in Australia and I am just starting out on learning Irish.
If someone could help me out on the pronunciation of the following phrase I would be forever grateful.
I have read that it means 'Your feet will bring you to where your heart is' (hope that is correct).

An áit a bhfuil do chroí is ann a thabharfas do chosa thú

I am looking at getting this as a tatoo but I would like to know how to pronounce it.

Many thanks in advance

You don't want that "is" in there. I'm not sure about the rest of the sentence. Where did you get it?

I think I'd say something more like "Béarfaidh do chosa go dtí an áit a bhfuil do chroí ann"

Wait for more input, please.

Roughly:

un AWTCH uh will duh khree iss on a HOR-uss duh KHUSS-uh hoo

I don't see anything wrong here.
It's the usual way to phrase this proverb.

Some more examples of this construction:
ag Oireachtas na bliana seo caite is ann a labhair sé liom (Graiméar Gaeilge na mB. Críostaí)
San áit a leagtar an crann is ann a bheidh na cipíní . (Antoine Ó Caithlín, Seanfhocail as Acaill)
I dtrátha an ama a bhfuair sí bás is ann a casadh do Shéamas an Dualtaigh i mBealach Gaoithe í . (Séamus Ó Grianna, Cora Cinniúna: Gearrscéalta Mháire)
An áit ar shíl sé a bheith níorbh ann a bhí sé ar chor ar bith. (Seán Ó Ruadháin, Pádhraic Mháire Bhán)
Cibé áit ina mbruithfidh tú do chuid nárab ann a chaithfidh tú é . (Niall Ó Dónaill, Seanchas na Féinne)
An áit an snoitear an crann, is ann a bhíos a shlisneach atá ráite sa seanduan. (Tomás Ó Máille, An Béal Beo)

GRMA. I stand corrected!
