My husband and I are looking to get matching tattoo's. My husbands mothers side of the family are Irish and we thought it would be a really cool idea paying tribute to his family roots.

We really like this part of a verse out of the bible.
I have found the one whom my soul loves
I looked it up online and found it translated to - Mé fuair an duine a breá m'anam.

Before we go getting this permanently put on us I just wanted to make sure it was correct and if not what the correct translation is. Thanks so very much! I really appreciate it!

Using Google Translate is not "looking up", it's more "messing up", because it leaves you with little more than word soup.

Now, as it's a Bible quote, there is no need for anyone to translate it -- it's all been done already. All you need to do is look it up in an Irish language bible. For that reason, it would have been helpful to include e book, chapter and verse, and then if anyone here had a copy on their desk, it would take about 30 seconds to get you an answer.

That is the translation of the entire sentence, in bold "I found ..."
"Scarcely had I passed them when I found the one my heart loves."
(near literally: "It's not long I got past them that the love of my heart touched me")
