For anyone who copied out my list of ways to reference the months in Irish, note that I've corrected a typo there.
An anonymous helper pointed it out.

A Chaoimhín,

In the ginideach section it says "mí Feabhra".
I think it should be mí na Feabhra (or mí na Féile Bríde, of course).

It also says "mí Lúnasa".
I think it should be mí na Lúnasa.

p.s. By the way, I was taught to say Meán Fhómhair, but that's just a small dialect difference, I think. :)

I don't claim to be an expert, and to be honest I no longer remember exactly where i got everything on the chart, but I checked FGB, and it has mí Feabhra and mí Lúnasa, although your versions may be perfectly valid dialectical forms.

We do actually tend to say some of the months in English.
January, Feabhra, Márta, Bealtaine, June, July ... :D

On http://corpas.focloir.ie/ you can find much more examples without the article.

Thanks for letting me know. I'd never run across it that way before. :D

Yeah, I've definitely heard people say January and July instead of Eanáir and Iúil, but hadn't run across June instead of an Meitheamh before. I learn something new whenever I visit this place. Go raibh maith agat, a Bhríd. :computer:
