dia daoibh 'chuile dhuine. Tá sé go deas a bheith ar ais.

Tá ceist bheag a'm. Is the "h" in the second person singular pronoun tú a purely dialectal thing? It's one of the things I;ve always meant to look into but never have until now.

I'm assuming one can say Tuigim tú as well as Tuigim thú or if using the emphatic forms mise agus tusa as well as mise agus thusa ?

actually I was just thinking what about when the pronoun does not combine with the verb eg: Feicfidh mé... thú sound more correct here than so has it something to do with whether tú/thú directly follows a verb or another pronoun?

I think "tú" is acceptable in all cases in the CO, but thú sounds a lot better to my ears in the aforementioned cases. So, in essence it's dialectal, I've never heard "tú" in the above cases in speech, so it's one of those bothersome CO things.

That being said the standard accepts thú too AFAIK.

Mostly speculation above, no definite info there :P

mé, tú, sé, sí = I, you, he, she
mé, thú, é, í = me, you, him, her

Cloisfidh tú é = You will hear him
Cloisifdh sé thú = He will hear you

thú/thusa as object,

Tuigim thú.

but tú/tusa as subject,

Tuigeann tú mé

and tú/tusa immediately following the copula

is tusa a thuigeann mé

Are there some cases where "tú" is acceptable in the CO, whereas almost any speaker would "thú" in that case? I remember hearing of that in school a few years ago.

For copula type phrases such as mo ghrá thú, maith thú, and An as an nGaeltacht thú?, I think tú would be accepted in the standard.

I think that might have been the context when I heard of this.

My point in my first post was that in these situations a speaker would find it very unusual to say "Tú" in those examples and yet it's accepted in the CO. (I guess that goes for quite a bit of the C, but that's another story :P).

I think the " for subject; thú for object rule" works in Conamara. (GC)

For the object, TYI (GM) says after a consonant, thú after a vowel (shortened to tu and thu colloquially), e.g., do chonac tu vs do chonaic sé thu.

Not sure how Donegal handles it?
