Hello everybody,

My next tatoo project is a Celtic Cross. It looks like this:

http://www.markify.com/images/ctm/origi ... 673917.JPG

The word GAA in the middle will be replaced by a guinness harp and i have to find a gaelic expression in 4 words to write in the cross and replace "cumann luth cleas gael".

For this expression, i thought "eirinn go braugh" can be great... but it's in 3 words and i need 4:(

Do you know some expressions in irish gaelic which are used to explain love for Ireland, or are historic and "powerfull" of sense please? (Not to committed too, i am not Irish and i don't want to be cataloged when i'll comme back to Ireland (2 times a year approximatively)).

Thank you very much!! :)

You could try - Is breá liom Éire - which means: I like Ireland a lot (but don't forget to put in the accents)

And definitely don't put that, because it is not spelled correctly.

L'orthographe correcte est - Éirinn go Brách (n'oubliez pas d'y mettre les accents - que l'on appelle en irlandais - les fadas - et ceux-là ne sont ni marseillais et ni nissart non plus)

Nó "Éire go Brách" sa caighdean.

Thanks for your answers :)

Is there any expressions (in Gaelic of course) which are very historic? Like "Tiocfaidh ár lá" for IRA? (i don't want to tatoo myself an IRA expression, but it's for the example)

You might like this one:

Bain ceol as an saol
Enjoy life (“Get music from life”)

It's five words, but the third and fourth are short, and should fit easily in one arm of the cross.
