You know you've been studying Irish too long when you spot this new sign on a conference center cabin on your usual morning walk and your first thought is "Dang! They've moved the toilets!"

All the cabins and lodges on the conference center grounds where we live are named after natural elements (mostly trees, bushes and flowers). This little lodge has always been called "Fir," but I never really noticed because the sign was tiny, faded, and right next to the door. They've been putting up big, shiny, new signs all over the place this past year, and these older lodges just got the treatment. I actually did a double-take when I walked past!

I can only hope that there'll nobody taking advantage of the situation and relieving themselves against the wall under where the sign is. (but at least it would be a give away about those who speak Irish or not - they might even call it a leaving certificate) ;)
