Cad ’na thaobh nár hinseadh dom go rabhais anso?

is hinseadh a old spelling or version of insint in the above sentence, or something else entirely ? It is in the old teach yourself Munster, and supposedly means "Why was I not told that you were here?"

Cant find it anywhere.

Inseadh is the past autonomous of inis.

Do hinseadh dom ná beidh sé ann = I was told he will not be there.

The autonomous is basically used to convey either:

1. A generic "they". "They" say it in that town Deirtear sa bhaile sin é.
2. The English "one". After finishing dinner, one washes up. Tar éis an dinnéir, nítear.
3. To purposefully not say who did it. "Somebody" stole my knife. Goideadh mo scian.

Traditionally the autnomous wasn't lenited by verbal particles, instead they prefixed h to it. That is why
you have hinseadh.
