Hi,
Can some people please confirm a translation for "believe for my hero". I found a translation "Creidim do mo laoch" and would like to confirm if it is 100% correct.

As a first person imperative, I think it does work. The English itself is unusual, but I am interpreting it as an order to yourself to keep believing so that your hero will be safe (or something similar), "I shall/Let me believe for the sake of my hero" (where "let me" is the singular of "let's").

Do mo laoch is okay for "for my hero" but you could also use ar son mo laoich "for the sake of my hero", I think.

I think it would be helpful to know exactly what you mean by it, as the sentence is, as Breandán said, a bit unusual. Could you paraphrase it for us? That will help us to be sure you've got the right translation.

Ah ok. It will be as tattoo reminding me to always believe and to do this for my father who is my hero.

What we really need is a paraphrase. The way you have it, the sentence doesn't make a lot of sense in English. Did you mean "Believe IN my hero"? Or are you to believe in something because your father (your hero) would want you to? And, if so, believe in what?

We're not trying to be picky here, but translations can be tricky, so we need to really understand what you mean in order to give you a translation.

I didn't think it would be this hard . Without you asking me to get to personal I just want to remind myself to believe in life in general and never stop believing. Then separately to remind myself to do this in honor of my father who is my hero.

It can change but i want the believe and the hero part in there. It is more of a few words to remind me rather then a sentence so to speak.

Another possibility (maybe): Creid ar son mo laoich

Edited to note that Breandán already suggested "ar son." I prefer it in this context to "do" in this context, personally.
