Yes, I kept thinking that I had translated things incorrectly in previous sentences (Wait, wasn’t it her sister’s baby? Maybe I got that part wrong), and going back over them, thinking I was misunderstanding something. But the next day, I decided to plow ahead despite the gaps, realized that the little girl kept changing her story, and the pieces fell into place. Little caillichín had me chasing my own tail!

I've yet to get through the girls' chit-chat, but it's the weekend, so I'm hopeful. Sometimes I doubt my wisdom in tackling Séadna at this point in my education. It’s great, and I’m learning a lot, but I was so ill-equipped to read it (only a third of the way through TYI) that it is taking up all my spare time. I haven’t touched TYI in weeks, and the only Irish history I’ve read lately is the little blurbs that pop up in my Facebook news feed from various sources. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day for everything I wish to know…..The whole working for a living thing? Totally over-rated. Totally!

When you get to page 17, you'll see why I am so worried about the behaviour of An Fear Dubh – Yikes!

By the way, I think that reading Séadna should be your only full-time job!

Yeah, Irish history isn't going to change much if you put it aside for a little while and by the time you've studied Séadna with An Loin Dubh's notes, you'll have covered most of TYI and more. Remember you can always ask them questions here. And besides it is much more interesting than either of the other choices.
