Over at Wiktionary, the entry for cothromas has the following example sentence, which I would like to give in English, only I can't figure it out.

Is mó leis na comhair seirbhísí dá mbaill ná brabús sa riocht is go gcuirtear srian leis na dibhinní ar bhuanchaipiteal cothromais.

I see something about service partnerships and their members, something about profit, and something about restricting dividends on fixed capital of equity, but I just can't put it together to form a meaningful English sentence. The fact that I know nothing at all about economics doesn't help the matter any.

Can anyone help?

Perhaps:

"Services to their members are so much more important to co-ops than profit that dividends on fixed equity capital are usually reined in."

But I am largely guessing so wait for correction or confirmation ...

Well I don't understand it in either language. :D

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

That was my problem...I don't understand English economic-speak, let alone Irish!

Which Ó Dónaill only has as i riocht is go, not sa riocht is go, so I didn't realize this that was the same formula.
