Full English Breakfasts tend to have 2 eggs rather than one AFAIK. (For dinner they serve fried eggs on steak too! ...and are more fond of mushy peas than the Irish).

The perfect thread! What is the Irish for "Full Irish Breakfast"? Every time I order in Corca Dhuibhne the person has looked at me
funny!

I also recommend people try a full Scottish breakfast, delicious! They have these lovely flat sausages called Lorne sausages.

How come the Bricfeasta beag (7.50) is more expensive than the Bricfeasta mór (7.00) ? (Maybe we should ask Bríd to go down there and find out.)

A Bhreandán a chara - I hate to say this, but you might be needing a pair of glasses when you get into Monroes ;) - it says on the Biachlár (I think they must have forgotten to include a fada there)
Bricfeasta Mór - 8.95 euros (which I find surprisingly reasonable)
Bricfeasta Beag - 7 euros

 Actually franc, I don't think I'd be alone in saying that because of the way the table is laid out in the HTML, all of the prices appear slightly skew. :dhera:

I am in a B&B in Gleann Cholm Cille, Dun na nGall, and tomorrow my "Irish Breakfast" will have smoked mackeral from Donegal Bay and yogurt with rasperries, and whatever the Bean an Tí cooks up. I got the other fish coming through Donegal Town today because I like smoked fish for breakfast. There's some incredible fish sold behind the car park there out of a guy's trailer.

Slán anois,

One of the reasons I never stay in B&Bs! I'm too fussy an eater to eat whatever someone happens to cook up (and too much of a vegetarian to risk facing black pudding and a dead fish on my breakfast plate!). It's self-catering all the way for me!

Lots of Irish food is lovely, but I think I'll leave the full Irish breakfast to the rest of yez!
