toisc without go, mar gheall ar and i dtaobh can't be used before verbs, they are prepositions. "I dtaobh" + noun means "concerning". The others mean "because OF".
But "i dtaobh (is) go" means "because" and can be used before a verb.
Anyway, most conjunctions that mean "because" end with the conjunction "go" (except "mar", "óir", "nó").
GRMA!
Is there any difference between toisc, mar gheall ar and i dtaobh before nouns:
Let's say:
Éirím as an ól mar gheall air.
Éirím as an ól ina thaobh.
I know that toisc tends to be "because" when what follows is a verbal noun type phrase.
toisc iad a bheith tagaithe
(Is that right?)
