Dia duit. I'm Red. I've been struggling with learning Irish for the past few months, mainly because it's been hard to find good resources that other people have had success with. While searching out reviews of some program or another I wandered in here, and really liked the atmosphere.

Unlike many others, I'm not Irish or of Irish descent or anything at all. I'm American, although my family is German. I just really like various bits of folklore, and ended up trying to piece together some Irish to read/understand more Irish lore; eventually I got really interested in the language.

As is, I'm probably just going to read a lot and not post too often, but hopefully as I learn I'll have more and more things to say.

My name is Iserlynn, 35 years old from Holland. I've always had a soft spot for the Irish and their language. Been to Ireland once for my uncle's wedding, but i was 4 years old, so i can't remember much of it. Since a couple of weeks now i have an irish friend (we play a game together online) with whom i get along great. That is also more or less the reason i would like to learn the irish language. So hopefully i will get started next year ..if i can find the time that is hahahaha.

Hello everyone, my name is Anthony and I am a TRUE beginner at the Irish language I know pretty much NOTHING. I am VERY interested in learning to write, speak, and enjoy this beautiful language. I was pointed here from another forum where i was looking for help for a tattoo translation, also where I first took a MAJOR interest learning, and look forward to all the help and insight you wonderful volunteers are willing to give. It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
