Hello.

My wife's tattoo has the Celtic language. It says Leanabh nàdair. We would like to learn how to pronounce it correctly. We are Finns and it is difficult to get pronunciation instructions from Finland.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Lon-uv naw-dir

The sound of the last r (called a slender r) is somewhat hard to describe in words. It can be somewhere between an r and d sound.

Hello.

Thanks for the answer, but would it be possible to get the pronunciation as an audio file? In Finnish, however, the letters are pronounced very differently than in Gaelic or English. An audio file would be a great help.

Thank you in advance for your help.

https://forvo.com/word/leanabh/

this is for leanabh.

Click on "Ulster" here. I cannot find it in Scottish Gaelic (which is what you have on your tattoo; the sight provided is for Irish Gaelic, but the pronunciation is extremely similar, and it is the same word).

Now just put the two words together. I am not very tech savvy, I wouldn't be able to do a recording very well of myself but I hope this helps.
