In the first line of Arracht (on tg4), the main character says what sounds to me like im bluaisín (?) beag uaigneach nach mór go bhfeicim a' lá. I wasn't able to find bluaisín in any dictionary (that is what I hear at least). Does anyone have any idea what it is? The beginning of the poem Achill by Derek Mahon goes Am chaonaí uaigneach nach mór go bhfeicim an lá, but I know he's not saying caonaí.

B'fhéidir:
"im bluaisín" = im pluaisín = i mo phluaisín (CO)

The p (apparently) voiced after m?

Thank you, that would make sense, as the main part of the movie consists of the character residing in a small cave by the sea. Is voicing of voiceless consonants after im' typical?

I've added the word "apparently" because it could just be a false perception.

On the other hand: The whole phenomen of eclipsis is based on such a process:
-m + voiceless -> voiced

I had a listen over here on tg4.

I don’t hear the “m” tbh, I’m hearing “i bpluaisín beag uaigneach”.
