I used AI to set an original poem of mine to music: https://suno.com/song/596dd760-8b43-4de ... 3f428d63c9

I am curious about the AI voice's pronunciation, though. For one thing, she pronounces the word gumh as "gum" instead of "goo" or "goov." Also, I think I can hear an "s" sound in tsaoil. The pronunciation of cailltear sounds off, too.

I had a listen to the first few sentences and the pronunciation is fairly brutal. The AI voice itself is surprisingly nice though.

I was honestly surprised at how well the AI voice was doing, as it pronounced many phonemes correctly instead of using direct English equivalents, but there is still a LOT that needs to be improved. One of the two things that I noticed is that it pronounced vowels as long when they should be short, and pronounced consonants as broad when they should be slender. This is personally what I hear:

Cailtíor (with a short a) an sólas i bpol dubh (or dúbh perhaps) le gum dobróin (with the stress on the second syllable)
Daeidheadh (with the stress on the second syllable) na crúine
Imiún (with the stress on the second syllable) an t-éingeal istac (with a broad s and t, and the stress on the second syllable) sa dorthact le hact spás-rás
Deire an chásmas
Deiriú an tíl
Fúire shíoraí (with the stress on the second syllable)

And of course, the voice pronounced both broad and slender tapped r as the English approximant.
