Ní thugtaí "Didimus" air.
Labhraítí Araiméis san am úd. ܬܐܡܐ/ תְּאוֹמָא a deirtí (təʾōmā, "Tomás" dá bhrí sin).
Scríobhadh an Bíobla i nGréigis, mar sin Δίδυμος.
"Leathchúpla" is ea an focal a mbaintear feidhm as i nGaeilge.

Psalm 89:2
Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.

Sarar deineadh na cnuic, agus sarar cumadh an talamh agus an domhan, ón síoraíocht, agus ar feadh na síoraíochta, taoi id Dhia.

[This is Psalm 90 in some Bible versions.]

Psalm 143:1-2: 1 Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war. 2 My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.
[This is psalm 144 in many Bibles.]

1 Moladh lem Thiarna Dia,
is é a mhúineann mo lámha chun cómhraic,
agus mo mhéireanna chun cogaidh.
2 Is é mo thrócaire é agus mo dhíon,
mo thaca agus m’fhuascaltóir,
mo chosnamhaí, agus is as atá mo mhuinín agam.
Is é do smachtaíonn mo dhaoine fúm.

In the Douay, Job 19:25 is "For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and in the last day I shall rise out of the earth."

Óir is eól dom go bhfuil mo Shlánaitheóir beó,
agus éireód as an dtalamh an lá déanach.

v, 26 is "And I shall be clothed again with my skin, and in my flesh I will see my God" in the Douay. The King James Version has "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God", but the Douay doesn't make reference to worms.

agus clúdófar arís me lem chroiceann,
agus chífead, im chuid feóla, mo Dhia.

I don't have Revelation transcribed, I'm afraid.

How do I pronounce eól?? It's not on https://www.teanglann.ie/en/fuaim/e%C3%B3l

Google translate's it to "drink".

In my limited experience with irish, vowel's with the accent thing above it usually dominate it, so I would pronounce this as "Oh-l"

And I'm thinking to pronounce "éireód" as "aye-road". Again, my login is that the accented vowels dominate and the é will make an "ey/"aye" sound and the ó will make an "Oh" sound.

Sorry for all the posts... wish I could edit my previous ones. For me, the hardest part about learning irish is getting the pronunciation down... If any of you want to record yourself saying these bible verses (slowly haha) and post it that would be rad.

Thanks again!!

Revelation 2:17 - An té a bhfuil cluas air, éisteadh sé lena bhfuil le rá ag an Spiorad leis na heaglaisí: An té a bheireann bua tabharfaidh mé dó cuid den mhana folaigh; agus tabharfaidh mé dó cloch gheal agus ainm nua scríofa ar an gloch, ainm nach fios d'aon duine ach don té a ghlacann é. (An Bíobla Naofa -1981)

v. 27 is  Is mise féin a chífidh é. Is iad mo shúile féin a bheidh ag féachaint air, agus ní duine eile.
Sin í mo mhuinín atá i gcimeád agam istigh i m'ucht.
