Could someone check my translation for a wedding gift? I have had it looked at once but would really appreciate other opinions.
My Irish is:
"De réir traidisiúin, ba chóir é seo a chaitheamh i mbróg chlé na brideach ag a bainise dea-fhortún a thabhairt don phósadh." (Acccording to tradition, this should be worn in the bride's left shoe at her wedding to bring good fortune to the marriage.)
and
“Rud éigin d’aois, rud éigin nua, rud éigin a fuarthas ar iasacht, rud éigin gorm agus sé phingin ina bróg.” (Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in her shoe.)

'brideach' should be 'brídí' (genitive case)

'sé phingin' means 'six pence/pennies', whereas 'a sixpence' (i.e. a six-pence piece) would be 'bonn sé phingine'.
