Dia daoibh!
I was reading my Gaeilge reader “An Gaeilge ó Lá go Lá” earlier. I’m currently on story 38. I’m a bit confused by one sentence/idiom in the story. The speaker is describing the house she lives in and how it was in bad repair, but that she spent a good deal of money improving it, and it has gradually gotten better. She also says (about the house) “Tá deis agus dóigh anois air.” … from the context, I assume it generally means something like “It’s repaired now,” but the word “dóigh” is throwing me off. It means “way”…which doesn’t really fit in the sentence “There is proper condition and a way on it now

” …
And I know “Tá dóigh air,” means “There’s a knack to it.”…

Can anyone shed some light on what this phrase exactly means? Thank you all!
