From Cnósach focal ó Bhaile Bhúirne p104:
Quote:
fara: is beog fara a luacht un = is beog thar a luacht un

Does anyone understand this sentence? Maybe "it's not much more than it's worth"?

I get the sense of "Nothing is worth more than this."

Is beag fara/thar a luacht ann.

"un" is ann?

is beag - little, too little, not much
fara / thar- besides, beyond, more than
a luach - its price, worth

So I'd guess "it's not much more than it's worth", too.

Yes, "un" is definitely the unstressed version of "ann".
