on p82 of Cnósach Focal ó Bhaile Bhúirne we read this:

The dámas bit it clear (dá mba agus). But what is róinn? Would I be OK to translate it as follows? "The situation would be dire if he were not leading us"?

I'm basing this on meaning 1f in FGB under roimh.
