Hi all,

I am trying to make a list of all extant audio recordings of Irish from non-Gaeltacht areas (.i. dead dialects).

Here is a link to the post that I'll be working on in the meantime :computer:
https://iarghaeltacht.blogspot.com/2022 ... lects.html

Of course, I will put Doegen and anything else that comes to mind. If anyone here knows of any audio recordings that could go on the list, then please say so!

The plan is just to list them out by county. If they are available online then I'll provide a link, if an mp3 exists then I will just link the file.
Not too much info is necessary, just where the speakers were from and when the audio was recorded.

Go raibh maith agaibh,
Baeris

I've added quite a bit :nail:

Still a lot more to go, though

I am currently trying to email RTÉ again to get access to their tapes. Last time I tried they weren't very helpful but maybe I could ring them or keep emailing ...

Any suggestions are welcome

But your spelling in the sean-chlódh on your site is just wrong.
For a start Gaeilge is the traditional genitive only.
And the spellings are wrong. The following is correct:

Gaeḋilg na h-Iar-Ġaeḋealtaċta

Baeris, I hope the various archives cooperate with you and give you recordings. Let us know how the archive comes along. The Doegen archives are invaluable.
