Can anyone please help me with the pronunciation of the name Éadha?

Is it the same name as Aida/ Aeda in English?

But others might know more.

Éadha -(probably pronounced as: the name of the letter A in English, and then A as in Father).

It could be a variation of the Biblical name Eve - usually spelt Éabha. (Éabha = pronounced AVA)

It could be a variation of Eabhadh - an aspen tree (no accent so pronounced - Aw-V or Aw-Va - I'm not sure)

It could be a variation of Aodha (pronounced like the name of the letter A in English, then A as in father). The surname version of the man's name Aodh.

Aeda - It looks like the old spelling of Aodha, so pronounced as above.
