Hello everyone. I was hoping someone might help me translate a phrase, no preference on dialect/spelling as I don't know the difference between them. The only bit I've been exposed to is from music lyrics/song titles like "Erin Grá Mo Chroí" or stuff by Celtic Woman. I thought I might be able to tackle it on my own having studied a tiny bit of Scottish Gaelic... but no, haha.

The phrase(s) I'd like translated are: May the blessings on my heart be yours. ... or ... May my blessings be yours. (as in, may they also be yours)

If it helps for translation, the sentiment behind it is expressing a wish/desire that everything the speaker has been blessed with/given be given to or passed on to the person they are talking to.

Thank you!

Some assistance in pronunciation would be appreciated, too!

Go raibh beannachtaí mo chroí leatsa
May the blessings of my heart be yours.

Or, using Peig Sayers' wording:

(Go raibh) beannachtaí ó mo chroí ort = May the blessings from my heart be yours

(she actually wrote:... is beannachtaí óm chroí ar lucht do léite = and blessings from my heart on your readers)

"Go raibh" (May ... be) can be left out.

pronunciation of go raibh is /guh ruh/ or /guh ro/
pronunciation of beannacht: https://www.teanglann.ie/ga/fuaim/beannacht (add /ee/ for -aí)
pronunciation of mo /muh/ https://www.teanglann.ie/ga/fuaim/mo
pronunciation of ó and chroí see "ó chroí" https://www.teanglann.ie/ga/fuaim/ó_chroí
pronunciation of leat /lat/ see "ar aghaidh leat" https://www.teanglann.ie/ga/fuaim/ar_aghaidh_leat (add /suh/ for -sa, leatsa /latsuh/)
pronunciation of ort /ort/

Thank you both so much! Would leatsa and ort be interchangeable in either way of saying it?

Yes, leat(sa), ort(sa), both (four) can be used.

Agreed :good:
The "sa" ending sounds more natural to me, but is optional. It is technically used to create emphasis ("may the blessings of my heart be yours"), but can also be used just because it makes the phrase "scan" more naturally.
