Hi Everybody,
my name is Dieter, I'm 48 old, married and from Germany. I have a definite affinity with Ireland in general and Gaeltacht areas in particular. Many years ago, my wife dedicate me the following, as part of a book present:

"Love is the gift of a person to another - a gift which not lead to loss, but to fulfillment."

Now I would like to combine these two loves, my wife and Ireland, in a tattoo, my first one.

Any help would be appreciated.
Best Regards

Hi Dieter,

That's rather long for a tattoo in my opinion, although we can translate it. I'll give it a shot.

"Love is the gift of a person to another - a gift which not lead to loss, but to fulfillment."

"Is é an grá bronntanas duine go duine eile - bronntanas nach mbeidh caill mar thoradh air, ach beidh fíorú."

Wait for more input.
