Hi everyone
My name is Stan and I'm from New Zealand. I was wondering if someone could please help me translate the following into Irish - Tattoo: "Feel the fear and do it anyway" (CO)
I'm going through a personal development journey and really keen to be reminded to keep pushing my boundaries and putting myself outside of my comfort zone.
Thanks!
Stan
I've never seen or heard such an idiom as "feel fear" in Irish (lit. "mothaigh eagla"). Either you have fear or not.
So,
bíodh eagla ort "Have fear!" ("Be fear on you!") would be better on the one hand.
On the other hand this is too direct and probably odd to recommend someone to "have fear!".
So I'd rephrase it as: "Even if you have fear, do it anyway":
Má tá eagla ort féin, déan é ar aon dóigh.
