A chairde,
I've been studying Irish off and on for years - bouncing around this forum and its predecessor (IGTF) from time to time. I've recently reengaged with the language, and I'm really enjoying it. I've been using "Gaeilge gan Stró" (Beginners Level) by Éamonn Ó Dónaill and the Memrise app as my primary learning materials. My vocabulary comprehension has improved considerably with Memrise. I've also been listening to RnaG just about daily. I'm beginning to pick out words here and there on the RnaG broadcasts, so I'm pleased with my progress so far.

My hope is to take the TEG (A1 level) test in June in NYC, but I fully recognize that my spoken Irish is practically non-existent. As my mother was born and raised in Conamara (though in a non-Irish speaking area), I've always been drawn to learning Irish from a native Conamara Gaeltacht speaker. Does anyone know of a good Conamara Gaeltacht tutor who does Skype sessions?

(Brid Mhór - I've always been amazed at your passion for the language. Do you tutor Irish learners? If not, do you know of anyone from the Conamara Gaeltacht who does?

Or, if anyone has recommendations for fantastic Irish tutors (via Skype) - regardless of dialect - please pass those along as well.

I wouldn't be any good at teaching.

Braoin is your man. PM him.
